Sunday Class On Sunday we are offering a 3-hour class with Maestro Ramón Martínez from 12:00 - 3:00 pm, followed by one hour of fencing from 3:00 - 4:00 pm.
This class is not part of the tournament, and will be held at a separate location, in Jupiter. For more information on the Sunday class contact Kim Moser at or 561-630-3688.
The Association for Historical Fencing and Palm Beach Classical Fencing are pleased to invite you to a classical fencing tournament.
Whether you're a seasoned fencer, a complete beginner, or somewhere in between, this is a great opportunity for you to meet other fencers, test out your skills, and get a taste of the spirit of classical fencing.
A classical fencing tournament differs in several ways from a modern (electric) fencing competition, so if you're new to classical fencing please read our rules carefully. One main difference is that fencers are also awarded technical points to distinguish between those who are adhering to sound martial principles and those who are merely interested in scoring points.
Spectators are welcome free of charge.
Complete rules are available online for foil, épée and sabre. PLEASE READ THESE RULES IF YOU PLAN ON COMPETING!
9:00 - 9:30: registration and weapons/equipment inspection
9:30 - 1:00: first half tournament
1:00 - 2:00: break for lunch
2:00 - 4:00: second half of tournament

Pre-registration: $20.00 for AHF members, $25.00 for non-members.
On-site registration: $25.00 for AHF members, $30.00 for non-members.
Pre-registration must be postmarked by March 8th, 2011 to take advantage of reduced pre-registration fees. Registration will also be accepted at the door.
The Tequesta Recreation Center (see map) is located at 399 Seabrook Rd in Tequesta, FL.
Take I-95 or Turnpike to Indiantown Rd (I-95 exit #87, or Turnpike exit #116). Head east to US Highway 1. Turn left (north) on US-1 and go approximately 2 miles to Tequesta Drive / Waterway Rd. (If you get to County Line Road you have gone approximately ½ mile too far!) Turn left (west) on Tequesta Drive and go approximately 1/4 mile, cross the railroad tracks, and turn right (north) at Seabrook Rd. The Rec Center will be on your left side by the flagpole. Parking is available in the rec center parking lot, or across the street in the church parking lot.
The closest airport is Palm Beach International Airport (PBI), located in West Palm Beach, approximately 20 miles south of Tequesta. March is still tourist season in Florida so book your tickets early to ensure prices and availability!
